"[...] earlier actions are evoked through objects and signs that revisit the relationship between performance and what remains of it, in a dialectical mode reminiscent of Robert Smithson's nonsites. This neon repeats the title of the performance carried out in Moscow in August 2014 by Katya Ev and Hanna Zubkova. The two artists walked for seventeen hours through the city, linking the northernmost point of the ring road to its southernmost point. They carried a metal bar used in construction, reminiscent of a certain iconography inherited from the communist revolution. But revolution also refers to the rotation of stars in orbit. It thus evokes both linear and circular motion. The two artists' path was actually a cross in relation to the sun's revolution. The performance title which has now becom a work of art in its own, underlines the importance of language in Katya Ev's work. The neon glows with a blue intensity reminiscent of the flashing lights on the ground, emphasizing that the formal approach is not at odds with the conceptual".
